Can I send you samples of my chocolate?

Yes. We accept samples for the next awards. Email us to arrange this.

Submitting samples ensures that your chocolate is evaluated. If the result of evaluation is positive, the World Chocolate Awards will independently acquire additional chocolate to evaluate. This is to ensure that the chocolate on sale to the public is always evaluated.

The World Chocolate Awards is independent and works on behalf of its readers. We do not provide consulting services to the chocolate industry.

My chocolate has been awarded stars by the World Chocolate Awards. Can I use your trademarks or guide book content on my website, product packaging, marketing material etc.?

To use our brand assets for any purpose you must agree to and purchase our Limited Licence Grant. Please contact arrange this. Once a Limited Licence Grant is issued we will supply you with the relevant files for you to use. These include graphics suitable for chocolate packaging, social media, or websites.

Can I reproduce any part of your guide book?

Our logos, book content, editorial content, photos and reviews are protected by copyright and trademark laws. Do not use them without prior written permission. Please contact us to apply for permission.

Can I issue a Press Release regarding my chocolate being awarded stars by the World Chocolate Awards?

Yes. We will also issue Press Releases to the relevant media.

How can I enter my chocolate into the World Chocolate Awards?

It is not possible. The World Chocolate Awards is independent: it does not accept entry fees, funding, or chocolate products to be submitted for evaluation. Because of this policy an application to enter becomes unnecessary.

We also aim to evaluate as many chocolates as possible in order to provide the public with a comprehensive guide to the world's finest chocolates. Requesting applications for entry runs contrary to this objective because it allows brands to opt in or out of their chocolate being evaluated.

In conclusion: because independence and scale are priorities for the World Chocolate Awards there is no good reason it to have an application to enter.

You are welcome to send us information by email about your brand and product range to make us aware of them. However we make no guarantee regarding the evaluation of any particular chocolate.

How do I know if my chocolate was evaluated?

A list of evaluated chocolates is available on the World Chocolate Awards website on the day of publication. See the "Awards" page for details.

How do I know if my chocolate has been awarded and included in the guide?

We recommend checking a copy of the guide when it is published as the easiest and definitive way to find out.

Where possible, when the book is published a notification is sent to each brand that is listed in the guide stating how many stars their chocolate has been awarded. Notifications are sent by email. If you would like to ensure that we have your contact details in case we need to notify you, please email us.

Why do you publish a complete list of chocolates that you have evaluated?

Despite our best efforts it is not possible to guarantee that every fine chocolate is evaluated by the World Chocolate Awards. We believe that our readers should be able to determine if a particular chocolate was evaluated or not. The list of chocolates evaluated also allows our readers to see how many chocolates were evaluated.

It may also be worth noting that the World Chocolate Awards evaluates chocolate using a grading system from one up to ten. Only chocolates which are graded with eight, nine, or ten points are awarded one, two or three stars respectively and listed in the World Chocolate Awards guide book.

Why was my chocolate not evaluated for the World Chocolate Awards?

First check if it would qualify to be evaluated by the World Chocolate Awards: the chocolate must be unique to your brand and it must not contain substitute ingredients such as natural vanilla flavour, vegetable fats or artificial flavours.

If it meets these two standards then it must not have been possible for the World Chocolate Awards to obtain your chocolate on this occasion. Despite our best efforts it is not possible to guarantee that every fine chocolate will be evaluated.

You are welcome to send us information by email about your brand and product range to make us aware of them. However we make no guarantee regarding the evaluation of any particular chocolate.

I would like feedback on my chocolate.

The World Chocolate Awards are not consultants to the chocolate industry, so as a general rule we do not provide specific advice or feedback. The reason that the World Chocolate Awards exists and that it is independent is for the benefit of our readers.
